These all look like very fun games. The Roottrees are Dead is a game that I should add to my backlog. It reminded me of a game I played several years ago call Her Story where you have to solve a mystery by searching a police database. You watch clips from interviews with a suspect and use keywords from those clips to pull up more clips until you have enough to solve the mystery. Those kinds of mystery games are so enjoyable.

Good luck with the move.

Her Story looks like an interesting game, added it to my wishlist! It really looks similar to The Roottrees are Dead, so I think I'd enjoy Her Story as well. Thanks for the recommendation, and thank you for the kind wishes!

Congrats on the move, I hope everything goes smoothly!! I've been trying to learn Spanish for years now & the best online resources I've found are Dreaming Spanish (hands-down my favorite) & Busuu (if you're into bite-sized lessons like most apps do).

I don't really use Busuu anymore but I appreciated its thorough grammar explanations, interesting lessons, and the opportunities it gives you to practice speaking & writing Spanish. Dreaming Spanish is my favorite because it gives you a broad variety of comprehensible input at different levels of difficulty. It honestly makes it really easy to pick it up, and they offer lots of different accents/dialects too! (Plus they offer really short videos too... or really long ones about video games, if you're into that~)

Hopefully one of those resources speaks to you, let me know if you like them!

Thank you so much!

I've been looking into Busuu and I like it! It's simple and easy enough, and I can see it being useful in the long term if I manage to use it regularly.

I hadn't heard of Dreaming Spanish but I'll definitely check it out! It sounds right up my alley.

Best of luck with the move!

I've been meaning to get to Botany Manor for a while now, but other things keep getting bumped ahead of it on my "Play this one next!" list. I might have to move it up a few spaces knowing it holds up well :)

The backlog is endless, isn't it? 😂 I moved it up my list after I got it on the Humble Bundle, so maybe it might be a good idea to wait for another bundle or a sale :) But yes, I think it does hold up pretty well!

And thank you!

I recently learned about The Roottrees Are Dead since it's a Canadian game, and I'm glad to hear it's fun! Once my backlog clears at least somewhat, I'll add it there 😁

Congratulations on your move; Spain is a wonderful country to live in despite some quirks. If you're open to sharing which city you're moving to, I might have some tips—I lived in Barcelona in my twenties!

Thank you! And yes, we are going to be moving to Seville! It's awesome that you lived in Barcelona before. I've only been to Spain as a tourist before so I'll take any and all advice you can give about living there 🥰

Botany Manor was one of my favourite games from a couple of years ago. Like you said, really chill, serene vibes. I also struggled on one of the puzzles (I think it was the bird one?) but overall thought the designers balanced everything out very nicely.

Also, congrats on the move to Spain! I breifly visited Barcelona this time last year and really loved it!

For me, it was the scales puzzle. I just don't know how I was supposed to know the order to put the weights in. But other than that, I also thought it was well-balanced.

And thank you! Barcelona is a gorgeous city! I'm very nervous about the move, but from my visits, I know that Spain is a beautiful country so I'm looking forward to it!

Thank you so much! Botany Manor was refreshing in that aspect; I enjoyed it and it delivers what it promises.

And thank you for the nice wishes, I agree that the best way to learn a language is to go where it's spoken haha
